It was created by the Administrative Modernization Agency (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.arte.gov.pt\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">AMA<\/a>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Purpose and Functionality<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It provides a secure, eco-friendly alternative to physical documents. Users can prove their identity before authorities or private services by displaying digital versions of documents such as:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Citizen Card (National ID)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Driver&#8217;s License<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Vehicle Registration Document <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Professional cards (e.g., Former Combatant ID, Defense ID)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>How to Access<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To use the app, you need an active Digital Mobile Key (Chave M\u00f3vel Digital \u2014 CMD); without it, authentication is impossible. The app is available for download on the App Store (iOS), Google Play Store (Android), and AppGallery (Huawei).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Validity<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>In the EU<\/strong> It generates a PDF digital certificate automatically signed with a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rosarioduarte.pt\/en\/assinaturas-digitais-e-chave-movel-digital\/\">qualified electronic signature, recognized and certified by the Portuguese State<\/a> (EU Regulation 910\/2014).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>In Portugal: <\/strong>Documents presented via the app have the same legal value as physical ones (Law No. 37\/2014).
