The ePortugal Portal brings together the former “Citizen Portal” (Portal do Cidadão) and the “Entrepreneur’s Desk” (Balcão do Empreendedor), adding new features and content designed to simplify the daily lives of both citizens and businesses. Managed by the Administrative Modernisation Agency (AMA, I.P.), it centralises information and services provided by the Portuguese Public Administration.
Access is available through authentication with the Citizen Card, the Digital Mobile Key, or a professional digital certificate. Users may also log in with a password or via certain social media profiles.
For citizens, the portal offers services relating to, among others:
- Citizen Card (change of address, renewal)
- Health centres (SNS user card, medical appointments, European Health Insurance Card)
- Support and incentives in the areas of health, sickness and retirement
- Legal aid applications
- Vocational training and job searching
For businesses, the portal provides services covering the entire life cycle of a company, including:
- Starting a business
- Commercial registration
- Trademark registration
- Local accommodation management
- Licensing of economic activities and other key corporate procedures
